ON THE BALLOT: Boring Security Is Asking The ApeCoin DAO For Another Year Of funding. Find Out More

The battle to keep Apes and $Ape safe never ends, and the team over at Boring Security needs the ApeCoin community’s help to make 2024 the safest year in the Yugaverse yet! That’s why they are 'runnin it back' and asking the DAO for another year of  funding to continue their work in educating the community on all things crypto!

 

Ape Improvement Proposal 373 titled “Boring Security- Runnin’ It Back’ is an ecosystem fund allocation proposal written by ApeCoin DAO Contributor and Boring Security Founder Feld.

 

“Boring Security has served as a bastion of light in the ApeCoin DAO ecosystem,” Feld wrote. “With AIP-9 (Boring Security’s first AIP) being amongst the highest supported AIPs in the DAO’s history, we continue to be thought of as a de facto part of the ApeCoin DAO.”

 

n AIP-373, Feld explains that he and the Boring Security team hope to expand their Alumni circle, work to keep $Apes informed on the latest hacks and exploits and begin scaling their education programs so that more web3 enthusiasts can stay safe.

 

The need for security education has never been clearer following recent events. As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, Feld and the Boring Security team made waves around the swamp earlier this month after successfully negotiating the return of 55 Bored Apes that were stolen via an exploit in NFT Trader’s old smart contract.

 

“I wish I could give you a soundbite that would realistically protect people in the future, but people need to actually take the time to get educated on security in this space,” Feld told the Gazette following the Apes return on December 17th.

 

To keep educating the community and make their work self-sustaining, Feld is asking the DAO to allocate $239,000 USD worth of $Ape to Boring Security.

 

“Boring Security is seeking $239,000 for FY24. We are seeking funds to deploy into a Uniswap V3 Liquidity Pool where Boring Security DAO can take structured withdrawals from yield generated month over month to cover its operating expenses not covered by partnership income and other grants.”

 

The window to vote on AIP-373 is currently open and $Apes have until Wednesday, December 27th, to cast their coins.
