ON THE BALLOT: This AIP Hopes To Establish Guidelines For Gauging The Community's Interests In Ideas And Topics

Updated: Jan 8

There is an Ape Improvement Proposal on the ballot this week that hopes to find out if the community is hot or cold on an idea or topic by establishing guidelines for ‘temperature checks’ votes at the DAO.

AIP- 366 titled ‘Rules and Framework for Temperature Checks,’ is a process proposal written by ApeCoin DAO Contributor LiveFast9986.

“Temperature checks would allow the community, AIP authors, and others, to gather information by polling the community on a topics to get an understanding of how the community feels about an idea,” LiveFast9986 explained. “While this can be done on any platform, it would be ideal to perform these temperature checks on the same platform (i.e. SnapShot) as normal voting occurs in order to better reach community members who are currently participate in voting for ApeCoin DAO.”

If AIP-366 is passed, the DAO will implement a six-step process for community members to gauge their fellow $Apes interests in ideas or topics.

The implementation of AIP-366 will not cost the DAO anything monetarily, according to LiveFast9986.

The window to vote on AIP-366 is currently open and ApeCoin DAO contributors have until Wednesday, January 18th, to cast their coins and vote on this AIP.

The Bored Ape Gazette is working to find out more about AIP-366 and why the DAO needs to make temperature checks a thing . Stay tuned for updates!
