ON THE BALLOT: This AIP Is Asking The DAO To Sponsor A Series Of IRL Gaming Events
There is an Ape Improvement Proposal on the ballot this week that aims to have the ApeCoin DAO sponsor a series of gaming events dubbed the Kickback.
AIP-219 titled “ApeDAO Partners with Kickback,” is an ecosystem allocation fund proposal written by Bored Ape Yacht Club member Mantis.
In AIP-219, Mantis explained that Cxmmunity, a gaming events company with a focus on improving participation of underserved communities in gaming, is hosting a series of in real life “Kickback” events this year. During these Kickback events, gamers come together to learn more about tech and culture!
Mantis went on to explain that funding an event like this would be a great way for the ApeCoin DAO to introduce itself to up and coming gamers and strengthen the DAO’s relationship with other institutions that sponsor these events.
“Partnering with Cxmmunity exposes $APE and ApeDAO to the next generation of gamers entering web3,” Mantis wrote. “Partnering with Cxmmunity places ApeDAO in closer relations with accredited institutions and municipal governments that sponsor, oversee and regulate these events. Representatives from ApeDAO gain closer proximity to educational and government leaders to lobby for integration into these institutions, and they would be able to see firsthand how ApeDAO integrates into mainstream society. Just as importantly, these events are the perfect balance between entertainment and education. Any ApeDAO member who comes will have a blast. and there will be endless opportunities for viral content with ApeDAO branding beside A-list celebrities with AAA production quality from Cxmmunity. ApeDAO also partners with a company that has a track record of bringing A-list resources to underserved communities with a focus on women.”
In total, Mantis is asking the ApeCoin DAO to allocate $100,000 USD to sponsoring Cxmmunity’s Kickback events.
The window to vote on AIP-219 opens tonight at 9 P.M. EST and $Ape holders will have until Wednesday April 19th to cast their coins.
