ON THE BALLOT: This AIP Wants The DAO To Purchase A Porsche For A KOL And Transform It Into The 'ApeMobile'

Skirt Skirt! This Key Opinion Leader has an Ape Improvement Proposal on the ballot this cycle to get himself an $Ape’d out Porsche and create ‘ApeMobile’ car content for the DAO for the next three years!

AIP-459, titled “The Apemobile - Guerrilla marketing meets a KOL partnership,” is an ecosystem allocation fund proposal written by ApeCoin DAO Contributor and Mega Koda holder Kodama.

In this proposal, Kodama is asking the ApeCoin DAO to purchase him an ApeCoin-branded all-black Porsche 911 Carrera 4S, complete with an ‘APE911’ license plate, an ApeCoin logo on the gas tank cap, and ‘Powered By ApeCoin’ written on the sides.

“The car will be called Apemobile and will be established as status symbol of success within the whole web3 space,” Kodama wrote. “Leveraged by a multi-year partnership with web3 KOL kodama.eth and the targeted use of guerilla marketing tactics in order to amplify educational content around the DAO, ApeCoin & ApeChain.The car will be a tool to polarize and get attention. Think about how many ppl will join a spaces called “How I got a Porsche 911 from the ApeCoin DAO”. In an endless X feed you need to stand out. You need to grab the attention and once you have it, you use it to educate and make them one of us.”

To garner attention, Kodama plans to create weekly content around the Apemobile, ranging from attending spaces to sharing photos and $Ape-related content on his Twitter page, which has 33,000 followers.

 

"The Apemobile will make ApeCoin a status symbol of success," Kodama wrote. “Sports cars have always had a special status in society and especially in crypto.They are associated with success. “This is precisely why it is the perfect fit for this marketing initiative. On top of that it fits perfectly into the DAO’s current marketing efforts with the F1.”

 

In total, Kodama is asking the ApeCoin DAO to allocate 185,000 EUR ($202,052 USD) worth of $Ape to AIP-459 to cover the cost of the car and three years' worth of insurance and maintenance. At the end of the three-year partnership, Kodama plans to sell the car and return the proceeds to the DAO.

“The car will be resold after 3 years and all proceeds will go back to the DAO, he wrote. “Making the effective costs within 3 years around 75,000 EUR aka 25,000 EUR per year.(Assuming a resale value of 110,000 EUR for the Porsche).If this is not legally feasible, then alternatives such as a charitable donation can be considered.”

 

The window to vote on AIP-459 is currently open and ApeCoin DAO Contributors have until Wednesday, August 14th, to cast their coins and vote on this AIP.
