Halloween may be over, but ghoulish grails are always in season around the swamp!
On Friday, longtime Bored Ape Yacht Club member and Hello Labs co-founder Sander Gortjes purchased one of the cleanest looking Zombie Apes in the entire collection from fellow BAYC member MachiBigBrother for 15 Eth, or roughly $33,400 USD, and decided to make it his first ever Ape profile picture!
“After a failed deal yesterday, I was able to close a deal with the legend
@machibigbrother on the Zombie 4T,” Gortjes tweeted. “ And for the first time, since I started holding apes in mid-2021, I decided to PFP one. So @mfigge sees an ape when we chat instead of my face. Welcome @BoredApeYC , Welcome BAYC 5207. CC @AdamWeitsman.”
Bored Ape #5207 is one of just six four trait Apes around the swamp, according to OpenSea.
As the Gazette previously reported, Gortjes has been a staple around the swamp and the broader NFT space for years, working on major media projects like Killer Whales, a crypto themed Shark Tank style show that has featured several Ape related businesses!
