There is an Ape Improvement Proposal on the ballot this that wants to give ApeCoin DAO contributors more options when staking their coins.
AIP-250 titled “Development of Staking Service Maximizing Ape Staking Rewards and Flexibility,” is an ecosystem allocation fund proposal written by ApeCoin DAO contributor Wesleyliao0208 and the Pawnfi team.
In AIP-250, Wesley explained that Pawnfi, an NFT lending, trading, staking, and liquidity mining platform, not only gives $Ape holders the benefits of Horizen Labs' ApeStakeIo platform but also provides additional benefits and options. These include a rewards auto-compounding option, the opportunity to buy and sell Yuga Labs NFTs on their staking platform, additional passive income through leverage, and the chance for non-Yuga Labs NFT holders to stake their $Ape and have it auto-compound.
“By offering these additional advantages, Pawnfi’s Ape Staking model further enhances the staking experience and caters to a wider range of users, including both NFT holders and non-holders seeking to maximize their returns and protect capital gains,” Wesley wrote.
In total, Wesley and the Pawnfi team are asking the ApeCoin DAO to allocate 10,000 $Ape to them so they can build ,optimize, and develop their platform.
