ON THE BALLOT: This AIP Wants To Reserve AIP ID Number 420 For A Far Out Community Contest Initiative!
The ApeCoin community will be voting on its 420th Ape Improvement Proposal soon, and there is an AIP on the ballot this week that hopes to reserve this culturally significant high number and celebrate 420 by puff-puff-passing the framework for a community contest initiative that will award up to 420,000 $Ape to the winner!
AIP-399 titled ‘Reserving AIP ID #420’ is an ecosystem fund allocation proposal written by Apecoin DAO Facilitator, Lost.
“AIP ID #420 holds special importance within the crypto industry and the Ape community,” Lost wrote. “This proposal seeks to temporarily reserve AIP ID #420 to create a meaningful impact for the DAO. The proposal team would collaborate with the community to organize a competition where the winner is awarded AIP ID #420 and an ApeCoin grant.”
In AIP-399, Lost and his team did not specify what kind of contest they had in mind or how $Apes could win, but they did explain that ensuring AIP #420 passes is important to $Ape culture and that a contest would generate excitement for the DAO.
“We want to save AIP ID #420 to help give it a chance to create a meaningful impact for the DAO,” Lost wrote. “The community would have a contest to award the AIP ID #420 along with a grant, this would be the first step to help ensure AIP ID #420 doesn’t end up in the Rejected AIPs folder.”
The window to vote on AIP-399 is currently open and ApeCoin DAO Contributors have until Wednesday, March 20th, to cast their coins and vote on this proposal.
