OVERDELIVERED AND UNDER BUDGET: ApeCoin’s Former Governance Working Group Completed Its Goals And Returned Nearly $150K To The DAO, According To GWG Lead AllCity!

Fiscal responsibility was the talk of the timeline this evening after the ApeCoin DAO’s former Governance Working Group announced it was returning 220,702 $APE to the treasury!
Seven months after the DAO voted to move away from the Working Group structure, Governance Working Group Lead AllCity revealed that he and the team not only completed their stated goals but also returned nearly $150,000 worth of $APE to the DAO.
“Following the passing of AIP-466 which determined that the #ApeCoinDAO would move away from the working group structure, we worked with the APE Foundation to make sure our initiatives were seen through,” All City tweeted. “Internally the #ApeCoinGWG decided no compensation would be distributed for the months after December 2024, whereby on a personal note, I've been able to continue advising the community on proposal writing and guiding #APE_U alongside @opencampus_xyz on a voluntary basis.”
Since the DAO voted to sunset the working group structure, AllCity and the Governance Working Group team have continued delivering on several initiatives:1. The Delegate Accelerator program, aimed at getting more communities involved in DAO governance. 2.The on chain small grants program, which gave builders in the $APE ecosystem startup capital. And 3. Made By Apes U, a collaborative effort with Yuga Labs and Open Campus that has educated 24 Bored builders on business fundamentals and helped them craft plans to grow within the $Ape ecosystem and beyond.
After AllCity’s announcement, Apes and $Apes took to the timeline to thank him for his commitment to the DAO and for pushing ApeCoin forward.
“A legend doing legendary things (even though I think you deserve those funds & so much more),” Justin Fredricks tweeted. “Hope many realize that integrity is integral to long-term success. And you’re the best example of this in Web3.”
Looking ahead, AllCity said he and the former Governance Working Group team plan to give Apes and $Apes a closer look at all the good they did during their terms via @ApeCoinUpdates.
