Pixel Vault Announced A New Bored Ape Themed Comic. Here's How To Claim It:

Updated: Jul 20, 2022

After months of waiting, Pixel Vault announced that Elite Ape Entry Coin holders will be able to burn their tokens for the company’s latest Comic, “Apes Out on the Town.”

in January 2022, the makers of Punks Comic, Pixel Vault, gave Bored Ape Yacht Club members, Mutant Ape Yacht Club members and Pixel Vault NFT holders the opportunity to claim an Elite Ape Entry Coin.

These Elite Ape tokens featured the eight bored apes that won Punks Comic’s Ape Madness bracket last summer.

The eight apes that won the contest and that were featured on the coins were : BBA, Biz, Gold-Rilla, Hanzo, Kiki, King BlackBored, Lone-Star and Tropo.

Originally, these tokens were used as a lotto ticket of sorts in order to determine when, and who, would be able to mint a limited edition Elite ape version of Punks Comic’s Issue #2: “X Marks the Spot.” In total, there were 6,000 elite ape collector edition covers up for grabs.

After the drawing, Punks Comic promised the community that the Elite Ape Entry Coins would have further utility in the future.

Five months later, Pixel Vault made good on this promise and announced that coin holders would be able to burn their tokens for a copy of "Apes Out on the Town."

The window to burn an Elite Ape Entry Coin for an Apes Out on the Town comic opens this Thursday, July 21st, 2022 and will remain open for one week. Users will be able to burn as many coins as they hold for the latest comic, according to Punks Comic.

Not only did Pixel Vault announce further utility for Elite Ape Entry Coins today, but the company also announced that they would finally be rewarding ape holders who entered their primate into the Punks Comic's Ape Madness competition last summer.

As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported on June 25th, Bored apes that applied for Ape Madness but did not make the cut would be receiving a special NFT.

“As thanks to everyone who participated in Ape Madness, @Chriswahl73 will be creating a special NFT-our gift to you,” Punks Comic official Twitter tweeted at the time. “Thank you for all the support you have given PUNKS Comic!”

A year later, Punk’s Comic announced that apes will be able to claim one free NFT that was drawn by Punks Comic artist, Chris Wahl. This NFT claim will only be available to the wallet’s that entered a Bored Ape in the contest.

The Bored Ape Gazette will continue to follow Punks Comic and will bring you more about the “Apes Out on the Town” and Ape Madness participant claim when more information is released!
