PIXELATED PRIMATE: BAYC Member NXN Burns 50 Normies To Immortalize His Ape!

From a Normie to a black and white primate!

Notable NFT collector and Bored Ape Yacht Club member NXN immortalized his iconic Trippy Fur Bored Ape in the Normies collection on Monday, burning 50 monochromatic faces to create one pixelated primate.

Over the last year, NXN has become a staple around the swamp and beyond, sweeping collections he likes while also curating grails across the space.

Recently, NXN fell in love with a newer NFT collection, Normies by Serc, and knew he had to get involved. Over the weekend, he swept a stack of Normies with a bigger plan in mind.

“It’s great to see something fresh like Normies,” he told the paper. “Serc built something very cool, which I expect to run hard in the near future. At the moment I’m planning to burn them all to make a legendary canvas. “

As the Gazette previously reported, Normies launched in mid-February as a collection of 10,000 onchain generative pixelated faces. What makes the project stand out though is its unique burn and customize mechanic, which allows holders to modify one Normie by burning another, gradually reducing the total supply.

Enamored with both the art and the mechanics, NXN bought more, sweeping 50 Normies, burning them, and creating his “legendary canvas” by recreating his profile picture, Bored Ape #9728, inside the Normies collection with the help of pixel artist Peekcell.

“Today I swept 50  @normiesART with an idea of creating my own legendary canvas,” NXN tweeted. “After some talks with  @serc1n I got in touch with the insanely talented pixel artist  @peekcell. He wanted to help me recreating my Trippy ape, which I love to most from my entire collection. The result couldn’t turn out much better imo. This also resulted in being the nr 6 rarity as a pleasant bonus. Thanks to both you guys, and keep up the great work! Agent Ape reporting for duty!”

 

 

After NXN’s burn and creation, Serc took to the timeline and congratulated him on the trippy tribute.

“What a masterpiece,” he tweeted. “From now on im calling this Normie “TrippyNormie” Big respect to you sir, we are lucky to have you in Normies, future is now.”

 

Tonight, just 8,367 Normies remain in the collection, according to OpenSea data.
