From computer screens to city streets, the monochromatic Normies that have taken over the NFT space this year are becoming larger than life works of art in Lisbon as Web3 gets ready to take over the City of Seven Hills for this year's NFC Summit!

Life is imitating art this weekend as Normies founder Serc and his wife transform a seemingly ordinary side of a building into something extraordi-normie!

“Normies mural in Lisbon is not just a mural, it’s a signal,” Serc said. “I paint it together with my wife, we used rollers to paint 4x4m wall for two days. Then started calculating 8x8cm squares. 1600 squares per mural, 3 mural total.”

Like their onchain counterparts that Serc launched on Ethereum back in February, these three Normie murals are being recreated exactly as they appear onchain, one black and white square at a time.

As the Gazette previously reported, Normies began as a .005 ETH mint and has quickly transformed into one of the most interesting projects of 2026, with customization options, burn mechanics, and even an AI agent ecosystem that aims to bring these characters to life onchain.

Simply put, there's nothing normal about Normies, and this mural is no different!

“I could ask my talented friends, muralists to do it. I choose to do it by myself,” he said. “I can clearly introduce that wall “made my me and my family” 200+ Normies holders will be in Lisbon, I am creating us a memorable moment. I am tired, not painting for a long time. But I am having a lot fun and happy. Some day it will be replaced by another artwork/mural. NORMIES will stay forever on-chain This is how we build. Proud to be a Normie.”

The Gazette will continue to follow all things Normies and will let you know when the mural is officially completed and what holders' reactions to it are in Lisbon later this week. Stay tuned for updates!
