Q&A: Approved Educators Wants To Make a Token Gated Web3 Education Platform Powered By $Ape
There is an Ape Improvement Proposal on the ballot this week that aims to make a token gated educational platform where content creators can teach people about web3 and students can earn soul bound NFTs that show proof of knowledge on chain!
Ape Improvement Proposal 278 titled “Approved Educators, Publish Your Course With Us,” is an ecosystem fund allocation proposal written by ApeCoin DAO Contributor and Approved Educators Founder, GuyMadden.
We propose an immersive learning environment HOST platform for content creators, educators, and mentors to easily publish their Token Gated courses,” GuyMadden wrote. “To better engage learners and bridge the gap between web2 and web3, we are introducing the Otherside initiative, A way for creators to use Yugalabs Otherside to create interactive courses alongside our traditional PowerPoint curricula.”
GuyMadden believes that his Approved Educators platform will help onboard thousands of new paticpants into the Web3 ecosystem and give them the tools to be successful in this space.
In total, GuyMadden is asking the ApeCoin DAO to allocate $50,000 USD worth of $Ape to the project so he and his team can finish the platform and integrate $Ape a payment option. The money will also be used to make Approved Educators Otherside integration plans a reality once Yuga Labs launches its metaverse!

1. Can you tell me what your AIP is all about in a sentence or two?
“Is a place to demystify education through new blockchain technologies while bridging the gap between web2 and web3.”
2. What inspired you to make this platform for creators and learners?
“The education system is outdated, it's a $5.7 trillion dollar industry that doesn't currently use block chain technology to it's full advantage.”
3. Why does Web3 and the Apecoin DAO need a platform like this?
“ApeCoin DAO could lead the way in online education creating 1 banner for all educators wanting to use token gated courses and SBT (Sould Bound Tokens) certificates.”
4. Can you explain in a sentence or two how this platform would work from the perspective of a creator and then from the perspective of a someone looking to learn about Web3?
“As a creator/Educator you will gain access to all the current chat GPT plugins and tools to help you create courses for your students, and as a student you will have a soft start introduction to web3 learning facilities.”
5. How does Approved Educators "promote novel forms of collaboration and promote long term growth?" What does that mean and look like?
“We look to create novel forms of growth by modernizing and working with universities to Introduce digital resumes and streamlined learning environments, we would like to see Bored Ape Security, Binance and all web3 companies of influence educating token-gated courses under 1 platform. Approved Educators powered by ApeCoin.”
6. Where do you see Approved Educators a year from now?
“A year from now would l will strive to see my kids using the platform and have more of our web3 communities start to use our online facilities, and hopefully start gaining government grants to expand our reach globally within the established educational network.”
7. What should the DAO know about you or Approved Educators before they vote?
“I just want to create something my kids can benefit from and one day look back and be proud of, thanks for taking the time to read.”
The window to vote on AIP-278 is currently open and ApeCoin DAO Contributors have between now and next Wednesday, October 4th, to cast their coins and vote on this proposal.
