Q&A: Bored Brewing's Frothy AIP Is On The Ballot. Here's Their Plan To Raise A Glass To $Ape& Bring Value To The DAO
The Brew masters at Bored Brewing are pouring up a frothy Ape Improvement Proposal that hopes to not only share great beer and $Ape vibes with the broader crypto community but also serve a pint of equity in the beer company to the ApeCoin DAO!
AIP-375 titled “Bored Brewing, $APE on Consumer Beverages and $APE Taproom - AIP Resubmission” is an ecosystem allocation fund proposal written by DZASTR and the Bored Brewing team.
“Bored Brewing is a fully operational beverage brand based in Canada, onboarding production and distribution partners in the US, UK, and Taiwan. Bored Brewing has already sold over 15,000 16oz cans and is continuing to sell more every day.
In AIP-375, DZASTR wrote that his and the Bored Brewing team's goal is twofold: 1. to educate the Web3 world about $Ape, and 2. to be the first proposal to give an equity stake in its business back to the DAO.
In total, DZASTR and the Bored Brewing team are asking the DAO to allocate 149,696 $Ape in exchange for a 2% equity stake in their company.
With this money Bored Brewing will design 11 new cans, including an $Ape-themed beer, create the $Ape QR code info, and cover marketing, among other things.
To find out more about AIP-375, the Bored Ape Gazette reached out to DZASTR for an interview. Check it out below:
1. In a sentence or two can you sum up your AIP?
“We are seeking funding to share beer across the NFT space at 10 events, market $APE and the DAO, give equity to the DAO of the brewery and open a clubhouse/taproom IRL and in the Otherside.”
2. How is this AIP Different from your first one?
“We have added that the DAO will receive 2% equity of the business and the brewery will open a clubhouse taproom IRL and in the OTHERSIDE.”
3. How does it feel to possibly be the first AIP to give equity back to the DAO? Can you describe how this will work a bit more?
“It is truly exciting to have the opportunity to do something first, especially in the world of crypto. Collectively, we are big believers in $APE and we are thrilled to be able to offer equity to the DAO. We are not 100% sure on the details because we will need to spend some time with legal and the DAO to figure out logistics, but there will be no hurdle from our side to see it through. Our assumption and hope is that the equity will be granted through a fairly straight forward SAFE agreement.”
4. Why is beer a great way to introduce folks to $Ape?
“It will not only be beer, it will also be seltzers, Non-alcoholic drinks and kombucha alongside beer that will help spread the word of $APE. We love the idea of sharing the ape dao through beverages because to us, drinks are very approachable. They can be a break from the chaos and allow you to decompress. The fun design of our cans help encourage people to read and explore the can and it is our goal to introduce them to what is $APE and how does the dao work.”
5. What should the community know before they vote?
“always like to highlight that we are a stable and profitable business that has brought these proposals forward as a way to support the DAO. This proposal is not funding a "dream" it is spending some $APE for equity in the business and marketing on our products. The only feedback we received was for an inclusion of equity and we hope that our proposal meets $APE holders expectations and everyone is excited for what we are offering.”
6. Do you have anything else you’d like to add or say?
“However the votes land on our AIP, Bored Brewing will continue building and serving beverages in 2024 and beyond. We would love to partner and support $APE through our proposal and hope the DAO sees the value and votes yes this week!”
The window to vote on AIP-375 is currently open and ApeCoin DAO Contributors have until tomorrow, December 20th, to cast their coins.
