Q&A: CryptoEvents Wants To Add A Dedicated ApeCoin Events Page To Its Platform!

The ApeCoin DAO is voting on an Ape Improvement Proposal that aims to add an ApeCoin events hub to its crypto events platform so $Apes never miss a bored bash or $Ape assembly!

AIP AIP-349 titled ApeCoin Events Hub on cryptoevents.xyz is an ecosystem fund allocation proposal written by ApeCoin DAO contributor and Crypto Nomads Club Founder Strawberry.

“There is currently a gap between the NFT/creative/community crowd & and the developer, builder & investor crowd within the crypto community,” Strawberry wrote. “A dedicated section for ApeCoin holders and lurkers within Cryptoevents.xyz will promote ApeCoin-related events and bring an understanding of the different ApeCoin initiatives."

For those who are unfamiliar with Cryptoevents.xyz, Strawberry described the website as the go to place for IRL crypto events.

Since the platforms launch in February 2023, he platform has amassed a following of 7,539 users on Twitter, shared over 5,000 IRL crypto events on its website and is now used by hundreds of crypto native professionals per day, according to Strawberry.

To add a dedicated $Ape section to CryptoEvent’s platform, Strawberry and the team are asking the ApeCoin DAO to allocate $20,000 USD worth of $Ape to this proposal.

“The creation of a dedicated events page for ApeCoin holders on cryptoevents.xyz, as well as the prominent display of the ApeCoin DAO logo as a company attending main events will benefit the ApeCoin community by enhancing visibility, fostering engagement, and promoting cross-community collaboration within the web3 ecosystem,” Strawberry wrote.

To find out more about CryptoEvents’ website and how a dedicated $Ape hub on the platform would benefit the ApeCoin DAO, the Bored Ape Gazette reached out to the company for an interview. Check it out below:

1. What is your AIP all about?

“Our AIP is about aggregating and bringing more visibility to ApeCoin IRL events and general branding worldwide.”

2. What inspired you to write this proposal?

“When we realized there are so many Ape related initiatives and events that go unnoticed by the community at large and we have the ability to cover them.”

3. What is CryptoEvents and how/ when did it start?

“CryptoEvents.xyz by Crypto Nomads Club (CNC) is a webapp that tracks crypto events worldwide. It is used by hundreds of crypto native professionals, VC firms, protocols, and CNC members. It was started in February 2023.”

4. How has CryptoEvents helped other coins/ DAOs in the past?

5. Why would having a dedicated $Ape section on CryptoEvents help the DAO?

“It would increase ApeCoin exposure to a brand new crypto audience (web3 builders, devs who don't necessarily engage with NFT communities or know about ApeC DAO), allow easy discovery for non-holders, provide insights on ApeCoin holders and their IRL preferences without privacy data collection.”

6. Where do you see $Ape and CryptoEvents partnership a year from now?

“Fully integrated and seamlessly in sync, without needing much human input :)”

7. Do you have anything else you’d like to add or say?

The window to vote on AIP-349 is currently open and ApeCoin DAO Contributors have until tonight at 9 P.M. EST to cast their coins and vote on this proposal.
