Q&A: Pancho's Poppins'AIP Wants To Cook Up Healthy& Delicious Food Options That Are Powered By $Ape

Break out your forks and knives and bring your appetite because there is an Ape Improvement Proposal on the menu this week whose goal is to cook up delicious and healthy food options powered by $Ape!

AIP-367 titled ‘An Apes Gotta Eat! Pancho’s Poppin Foods,’ is an ecosystem fund allocation proposal written by ApeCoin DAO Contributor and Pancho Poppins Founder, SandmanNY.

“Pancho’s Poppin Foods aims to ensure every Ape within the community has access to and enjoys healthy, delicious, high-quality meals, leveraging food tech, delivery, blockchain, and with a vision to invest in the Ape community’s health and unity,” SandmanNY wrote. “Their revenue generation plan aligns with ApeCoinDAO’s mission to empower the Ape ecosystem and explore innovative financial approaches."

To bring Pancho’s Poppin Foods to a table near you, SandmanNY has asked the DAO to allocate $75,000 USD worth of $Ape to his project. 

With the money, SandmanNY will fund two Beta Test product launches by the end of 2024. Take a look at his budget below:

1. In a sentence or two can you sum up your proposal?

“We are both an augmented reality Cooking Show Featuring Chef Pancho Poppins #7217 and a food brand serving our hungry peeps quality ready to heat and eat meals and scaling to local delivery.”

 2. What inspired you to write this?

“As a gen X latchkey kid I grew up cooking and yet never had ways to express it on a bigger scale. My lifes passion is art and being able to expand my career in visual art to include the tastes and textures of food in addition to explore a more performative side with my voice bringing Pancho to life as a real world character besides sandman.”

 

3. How did Pancho’s Poppin Foods start?

“It started out as simply sharing my tradition of cooking lasagna for friends on my birthday. I met Jennifer @Flavorbankin clubhouse days and we connected over food. Over time we formed the LLC and got serious about a much larger vision to bring the metaverse into your dining room and recruit from those dining rooms a group of new friends introducing apecoin and a broader vision of what blockchain offers”

 

 4. How much will meals cost?

“Meals will be priced based on current market and food product. we will offer cookies and soups and tamales and pizza and of course lasagna. Our intent is to give added value when purchased with ape. perhaps thats added amount of food. perhaps that is a % returned to DAO.”

5. Why should the DAO support this AIP?

“I believe the DAO should support this aip because it adds continuous value to the Dao by promoting apecoin. Both in content and Packaging apecoin will be present. Chef Pancho Poppins is the first augmented reality cooking show host and with our Culinary partner

@Flavorbank Jennifer is a James Beard Award Winner with 30 + years in food Industry. As our production increases e are connected to chefs, restauranteurs, etc and will be a bridge between IRL events and Metaverse dining. Our food is awesome! I bet you are craving a chocolate chip cookie right now”

 

6. Where do you see Pancho’s Poppin Foods a year from now?

“A year from now I see operations solidly in USA and eyes on other international markets, seeking foods that our international customers will enjoy and Pancho perfecting a recipe tailored to the local taste ith a flare for the dramatic and unexpected. taking our model to allow franchising for localized delivery anywhere.”

7. Do you have anything else youd like to add or say?

“I'm Chef Pancho Poppins at your service.”

The window to vote on AIP-367 is currently open and $Apes have until this Thursday, February 1st, to cast their coins.
