Q&A: This AIP Wants To Bring Laughter To The DAO With Monthly $Ape Comedy Shows
This longtime comedian's Ape Improvement proposal is no joke; however, he does aim to make $Apes laugh with his Bored Silly comedy shows!
AIP-346 titled “Monthly Laughing Ape Stand-Up Comedy Show Utility for all $APE Holders,” is an ecosystem fund allocation proposal written by ApeCoin DAO Contributor and Laughing Ape Founder, Aaron Haber.
“Laughing Ape, INC will bring needed laughter and fun to the DAO,” Haber wrote. “It’s also an opportunity for $APE holders from around the world to gather for a series of exclusive events fostering camaraderie between DAO members. But look, in between shows y’all can go back to yelling at each other over governance, ok?”
To bring these shows to life, Haber wrote that he plans collaborate with the ApeCoin DAO-funded project Nifty Kit to organize his comedy events, and everyone with at least one $Ape will be invited to attend!
To get the Apes laughing, Haber is asking the ApeCoin DAO to allocate $180,000 USD worth of $Ape to his proposal. This money will be used to rent venues, hire comedians, and cover production and marketing costs.

1. In a sentence or two what is your AIP all about?
“A new utility for all $APE Holders! Monthly IRL, Live-streaming and Metaverse comedy events (so all Holders can attend no matter where they live).”
2. What inspired you to write this AIP?
“I’ve been a comedian/producing comedy events for 25+ years, I have a passion for merging comedy and tech and love BAYC and the $Apecoin DAO.”
3. Why is laughter important for the DAO?
“The more people enjoy being in the DAO the more they’ll want to stay. Also, have you seen the current price of $APE? We need something to laugh about.”
4. Why are you the right person to set these events up?
“My Ape (Mike Raphone) has been a Stand-Ape Comedian since I minted him on 5/1/21. I own a freaking Comedy Club Metaverse and have been producing IRL and Live-streaming comedy events for over 20 years. Who else is going to do this?”
5. What could $Apes anticipate from the typical show?
“Stand-up Comedy! IRL: A gathering of fun-loving $APE Holders watching an amazing comedy show together! Live-Streaming: A gathering of fun-loving $APE Holders watching an amazing comedy show together on Zoom and the comedians and IRL audience can see and hear you and you can see and hear us! Metaverse: Hanging with a bunch of $APE Holders dressed up as your favorite Metaverse Avatar in our amazing Below Bored comedy show. Oh and the comedians can see you there too! All that plus before and after events oh and I’m hosting the shows!”
6. Where would these shows take place? Are there any cities that you will host an event in?
The first show will be in Las Vegas but also Holders from around the world can join us online if they can’t be there in person. And they’re not just watching, they’re participating live! After that I’ll look and see what cities have the most interest for an IRL show. Any city is a possibility except Paris, The FrenchApeYC voted against AIP-346 so let them eat cake.”
7. Is there anything that $Apes should know about you or your AIP before they vote?
"I’ve been grinding in the Web3 space since ’21. I’m a fighter, a builder and a damn, funny comedian. I’ll be a longterm BAYC holder and $APE Holder and want what’s best for both communities. So help me bring some lighter and love to the DAO."
