From Daniel Arsham’s signature “Fictional Archaeology” aesthetic to a nonfiction deep dive into his career and craft, Arsham Voyager Bot holders can now claim a free physical copy of the artist’s new book, Future Relic: Failures, Disasters, Detours, and How I Made a Career as an Artist!
"The book is a one-time redemption that can be claimed at: https://www.otherside.xyz/arsham-future-relic,” Yuga Labs tweeted from its Otherside account. “Once the Arsham book claim code is revealed and you click accept, you’ll receive a code to claim the book on the distributor's site. This is a one-time use code. Unclaimed codes will remain with their Voyagers, metadata on marketplaces will show whether or not the accompanying code has been claimed.”
As the Gazette previously reported, Daniel Arsham is a renowned contemporary artist whose work has been displayed everywhere from the Museum of Modern Art in New York to the Starfield Gallery on Otherside. He specializes in “Fictional Archaeology,” a style that reimagines present-day and futuristic objects as relics from a forgotten past.
That idea of Fictional Archaeology inspired the creation of the Arsham Voyager Bots, which come in three different materials that evolve over time, much like relics weathered by history.
“Every Arsham Voyager starts at its default Form stage. From there, four stages are possible: Fracture, Erosion, Ruin, and Rebirth. The stages are unlocked through in-world quests that will become available in the weeks following the drop. Your Voyager carries a Kodacam. Use it to decode hidden messages throughout Otherside. Each message unlocks the next stage. Rebirth brings it back, not restored but changed.”
