RIPPING PACKS. FINDING PAX: Pudgy Penguins' Kenny Completes One Of The World's First Full Vibes TCG Pengu Promo Card Sets!

From ripping packs to finding Pax! This Lil Pudgy was one of the first collectors in the world to find the full set of Vibes TCG Pengu promo cards!

In the two weeks since Vibes TCG Birbs & Pengu hanger packs made their way to Target, Barnes & Noble, and Books A Million stores across the country, the packs' exclusive Pax promo cards featuring the Pudgy Penguins mascot have become one of the biggest chases, with the rarest gold version selling on eBay for well over $100.

 

Since the collection's official release, pulling all four Pax Pengu promo cards fresh out of packs has become an obsession for a Lil Pudgy named Kenny.

“The hyperfixation to complete the set was real,” he told the Gazette.

 

For the past few weeks, Kenny has been scouring stores and clearing shelves of Vibes TCG hanger packs in hopes of completing the full set.

 

“Fortunately i live in central NJ where there is multiple targets and b&n close by which I personally cleared out,” he said.

In total, Kenny said he purchased roughly 45 hanger packs.

And Pack after pack, he pulled the base, the Arctic Foil, and the Holo, leaving him with just one card left to find, the elusive Gold Pax promo.

Then, when it finally appeared, the chase was over.

“It was like striking gold lmao,” he said. “As a collector at heart nothing beats the feeling of completing a set, especially one that revolves around my favorite IP," said.

After finally finding gold, Kenny took to the timeline to share  one of the first complete Pax Pengu promo sets ever assembled anywhere in the world.

 

He also told the Gazette it's crazy to think these cards are sitting on thousands of store shelves across all 50 states.

 

“Its Surreal but I’m not surprised with how great the pudgy team is with bringing penguins mainstream,” he said.
