Red alert! Markets might be down, but the vibes on Otherside are certainly heating up as Bored Ape Yacht Club member and entrepreneur Adam Weitsman shows off his new fiery red Mega Koda, which he just officially acquired from Yuga Labs.
It was a red Thursday around the swamp and the broader Web3 world. As charts turned red across the board, so did the timeline, thanks to Adam Weitsman, who gave everyone a first look at his new Mega Koda, which is red hot!
“Good morning ! Hope everyone has the best day,” Weitsman tweeted along with a picture of Koda #9964. “Appreciate you all. Mega added last night. Otherside ready.”
Koda #9964 is a fierce and fiery beast with a Redtillian core, a Flame Demon head, and is wearing Furnace Mantle clothing. It’s also armed with the Sword of Alinta. Based on these traits, Koda #9964 ranks as the 73rd rarest Otherside native, according to OpenSea data.
While not officially confirmed, OpenSea transfer data suggests Weitsman acquired his flaming new Koda as part of his larger Otherdeed deal with Yuga Labs last month.
As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, Weitsman purchased 5,000 Otherdeeds, Kodas, Mega Kodas, and more from the company on August 4 in an over the counter deal, making him the single largest landowner in the metaverse.
This major acquisition, along with Weitsman’s other moves around the swamp and the broader Web3 world, including purchasing the HV-MTL collection from Faraway Gaming Studios and hunting for the last Mega Mutant Serum, reflects his desire to be a "beacon of hope" in the space and make Otherside a place that inspires the next generation.
“I’ve got some ideas about kids playing this all over the world,” he told NowMedia’s Matt Medved in August. “This is a tough world. A place that kids can dream in. They can dream that this is their house and this is their land…“I’d love to be able to have an advisor for every 30 Otherdeeds” who would teach them how to build. Teach them how to trade. Teach them how to barter.”
