SHHH! Made By Apes brands Fuck It Productions and By Autistic are hosting a silent auction around the swamp this weekend for a pair of ApeFest-inspired works to raise money for special needs children in Africa.
After a night of good vibes and good times at the OG Cannabis House in Hollywood, California, during Fuck It Productions' second-ever Fuck It Friday event, the company capped off the evening with a charitable cause.
"Fuck It,” Fuck It Productions tweeted last night. “We teamed up with @ByAutistic to hold the most silent of silent auctions.”
On the online auction block are two ApeFest inspired works that are not only boring but beautiful.
“Hand embroidered silk art pieces. Hand threaded by 10 artisans in Ghana, Africa,” By Autistic wrote. “The intricate one-month process requires the image of choice to be first traced by an artisan, after which the different artisans use silk thread to skillfully embroider the edges and aspects of the traced image with silk threads. The usage of silk threads causes the image to have a shimmering effect in different light angles due to the triangular prism like structure of the silk threads fibers. Funds from these artworks go to empower local artisans and also to help reduce harm to special needs children in Africa.”
