SHOOTERS SHOOT, MINTERS MINT: BAYC Member Nils Scores Two Meebits During The Meebits Futbol Legends Burn!

Shooters shoot, minters mint, and this Bored Ape Yacht Club member just scored not one, but two Meebits as part of Meebits Futbol's beautiful game!

As the World Cup continued across the Americas, so did Meebits Futbol.

This past week, the project invited holders to burn three group stage soccer playing voxels in exchange for a Legendary player and the chance to mint a Meebit. Many collectors took them up on the offer, but BAYC member Nils saw it as his chance at greatness, and onchain immortality.

So Nils shot his shot, burning 96 soccer playing voxels to claim 30 Legendary players. Then, in an unbelievable string of luck, he minted not one, but two Meebits!

 

“Unbelievable indeed,” Nil told the Gazette. “Tbh it almost felt like I didn’t deserve it. or at least I felt like I shouldn’t brag about it. I’m insanely lucky with things like that. already pulled 7 extremely rare gold cards. some double, but I hold 5 out of 6 cards they produced. I have no clue how I do it, but some started believing, it must be rigged on the other hand, I spent quite some eth, made a few smart moves, and manifested. I’m happy about it.”

 

While luck definitely played a role, Nils proved that sometimes the biggest wins come from simply taking your shot. This time, he didn't just find the back of the net, he walked away with two Meebits and celebrated with a third.
