A familiar face from around the Bored Ape Yacht Club just made his way to the ApeChain ecosystem, sweeping three of the chain’s top collections and hinting that his shopping spree is just getting started!

Things were anything but boring on Thursday as Animoca Brands Chairman and former ApeCoin DAO Special Council member Yat Siu added a bunch of ApeChain NFTs to his collection.

“Finally got to buy some @apecoin $ape chain NFTs (48 of them to start),” he tweeted along with a screenshot of his growing collection. “@ApeChainHUB any recommendations as to which other ones I should be buying next gotta spend that apecoin!”

Siu’s first 48 ApeChain NFTs included 38 Frostbytes, five GeezOnApe, and five Gobs. Take a look at some of his pickups below:

After Siu aped into ApeChain, the Bored Ape Gazette reached out to him to ask why he decided to start collecting and for his thoughts on the growing NFT ecosystem. He did not immediately reply.

While we wait to hear more from Siu, we do know that his wallet still holds 91,488 $APE on ApeChain, meaning there’s a good chance he’s looking to buy more NFTs soon.

We also know that Siu’s been bullish on all things BAYC and $Ape for years. Back in April 2024, he personally added  10 Bored Apes to his collection.

“They are not going anywhere,” he told the Gazette at the time “Just my opinion that its incredible value for one of the most important cultural icons of our time in web3 and we should support the BAYC ecosystem for all it has done for every participant in the space.”

The Bored Ape Gazette will continue to follow Siu and keep you posted on what he does next around the swamp and the ApeChain ecosystem. Stay tuned for updates!
