SPOOKY SEASON: This Metaverse Mogul Bought A Mega Koda That Goes Bump In The Night For $104K!

Gasp! What was that?

Spooky season started early on the Otherside this weekend after a longtime collector purchased a blacked out Mega Koda that goes bump in the night. Now, he’s planning to bring this mysterious shadow dweller into the light, frighten his friends around the swamp, and kick ass in Bathroom Blitz!

On Saturday, Bored Ape Yacht Club member and metaverse mogul ABP purchased Koda #9943 for 30.20 ETH, or about $104,000 USD.

This mystical creature is as spooky as he is rare. Koda #9943 is one of the Otherside’s 100 Mega Kodas, featuring a Black Thorn core, Dark Orbit head, and Peeker Orbs eyes. He’s also suited up in Entangled Darkness clothing and armed with a Night Star weapon. Based on these traits, Koda #9943 ranks as the 51st rarest inhabitant on the Otherside, according to Magic Eden.

 

“Blackout Kodas have lived in the shadows for too long, and now it's time to emerge front and center on The Otherside... and in Bathroom Blitz stalls,” ABP told the Gazette. “I have 15 other Kodas and this is a good compliment, been looking for 3 years to find the right Mega, and this was the one!

 

Since the purchase, ABP has updated his profile photo to his new Mega Koda.

ABP also shared some custom art of his new Koda in its natural environment, a Gloomia Otherdeed!

 

 

ABP is clearly bullish on all things Otherside. With this weekend’s Mega purchase, he now holds 16 Kodas, 218 Otherdeeds (including 11 Acid environments and every resource in the metaverse), 289 Kodamara, 213 HV-MTLs, a Mutant Ape, and two Doggos!
