What the Funko Pop? This web3 artist is reimagining Bored Ape Yacht Club members’ primates as the popular vinyl collectible!
Things have been getting funky around the swamp recently as Web3 artist and Founder of CoCoBayWorld, Javi, has been transforming Bored Apes into Funko Pop Figurines, complete with the brand’s iconic big bobbleheads and huge eyes with the help of DALLE
Javi was inspired to starting Funko popping NFTs after he got a personalized Funko Pop from his co-founder.
My co-founder sent me a personalized Funko and I loved it,” Javid told the Gazette. “Then I started genuinely creating for my frens and the emotion was reciprocal. I really loved that they loved the Funkos. they started to share in X and people ask for Funkos. I did these for strangers and close friends and it went viral! it was and it is a really fulfilling experience!”
So far, Javi has made 200 Bored Ape Funko Pop variations and he says that he’d happily do more!
“I have personally felt super warmth by the APE COMMUNITY, he said. The most support I have got is from APES!”
