The Bored Ape Yacht Club’s first ever Telegram sticker packs were tele-gone in seconds this morning as over 310,000 users aped into the drop!

Things were anything but boring around the swamp and in the Telegram ecosystem this morning as the BAYC released 5,555 “Bored Ape Originals” sticker packs, each priced at 5,555 $STAR or about $83 USD.
The packs sold out just seconds after they went live!
“404: BAYC Stickers not found,” Sticker marketplace Sticker Pack tweeted. “5,555 sticker packs 310,000+ tried to join the club And 1 collective "holy sh*t" moment. We got stricter with the bots. More for the collectors to grab Cool to see more legendary projects choosing Telegram Sticker Pack leads the way – again 3,156 users now hold unique BAYC Stickers. The population is growing Welcome to the swamp.”
Each pack included 10 BAYC inspired stickers featuring everything from the club’s mascot Curtis chugging a beer and falling in love to even flipping people off. Take a closer look at the 10 stickers below:
“Curtis has taken many forms - 2D, 3D, inflatable, plush, statue. Now? He’s a Telegram sticker,” Yuga Labs Creative Director Lowbellie tweeted after the pack’s sold out. “For his debut drop, we took cues from icons like Hot Cherry and Utya: bold lines, sharp colors, and just the right amount of chaos. Now Curtis is here, ready to cause trouble in your chats.”
With so many people trying to ape in this morning, many longtime BAYC members were unable to grab a pack. While disappointing, it wasn’t unexpected given the hype, and how early Telegram’s NFT sticker platform is on the TON blockchain. But fear not. Yuga Labs CEO Garga confirmed that another sticker drop is coming once Telegram adds token gating, so every Ape can ape in!
“Sorry you didn’t catch the drop,” Garga tweeted following the mint. “I tried to set expectations as much as I could going into this that 1) this is early for TON and we wanted to participate despite not having the sort of tools available we’re used to for gating/whitelist And 2) that we 100% plan to do an exclusive BAYC/MAYC pack once that is possible. Will upgrade this experience. Not doing another until we have whitelist allowance or some other gating function.”
While many Apes missed out on the initial drop, BAYC member, ApeChain builder, and TON sticker collector Allo said he still saw the launch as a win, especially for onboarding.
“Everyone is always talking about how do we onboard new users. Yuga & @ton_blockchain made a great job of doing that today,” he tweeted. “If you want to onboard new users, you can’t satisfy all your holders at the same time. The expectation where set right, the demand for stickers as NFTs that are natively integrated inside @telegram is high. We are very early, we as holders maybe able to get future exclusive packs and whitelist to new drops. It’s just not implemented yet.”
After the mint, BAYC took to its new Telegram channel and invited anyone who missed the drop to check out secondary listings on TON’s three main sticker marketplaces: Palace, Igloo, and MRKT.
