SuperPlastic Is Releasing Its Mutant Ape Inspired Toys This Thursday. Here's What You Need To Know:
High-end vinyl toy maker, SuperPlastic, announced that its Mutant Ape Yacht Club inspired “Meet the Melvin’s” line of toys will drop this Thursday.
“Janky and Guggimon run a business, not a petting zoo,” SuperPlastic wrote on its website. “Get ready for the most F@CKED UP Apes you’ll ever see. MEET THE MELVINS, the NEW SUPERBORED vinyl that features ridiculously mutated sculpts in two unique colorways that look like they’ve come straight from Davey Jones' locker. The Melvin’s stand at 13-INCHES featuring chromed out grills and outfits that are practically falling off with how mutilated they are. Tentacles ooze out of their flesh to complete this f*cking ridiculous vinyl figurine which is totally not boring.
SuperPlastic’s Meet the Melvin’s collection is based on Mutant Ape #1590. Mutant Ape #1590 is a six trait m1 black fur mutant ape with a gold grill grin, sunglasses, and a fisherman’s hat.
In total, the collection will consist of two different toys: one MAYC/ SuperPlastic NFT holder exclusive toy and one public toy.
SuperPlastic’s Meet the Melvin’s drop will take place this Thursday, August 18th beginning with the MAYC/ SuperPlastic exclusive drop at 1 P.M. EST followed by the public edition toy drop at 2 P.M. EST. Each of these toys will cost $222 USD, according to SuperPlastic.
