Early Bored Ape Yacht Club vibes are going nuts on the timeline today after longtime BAYC member Gene switched his profile back to his iconic ape to promote his sweet and salty nuts!
Things were anything but boring around the swamp on Monday, as Gene announced that he was teaming up with Made By Apes brand Boring Merch to launch a sweet new snack line featuring his first Ape, Bored Ape #6717, AKA Nicky Nickels!

After the announcement, Gene told the Gazette that he and Boring Merch founder Ape Whale had been planning to drop something together since ApeFest Lisbon and after reconnecting at Made By Apes U, they finally dropped these nuts!
“For as long as I've been an ape, I've always wanted to see my IP on physical products, especially since IP rights are what set the BAYC collection apart from the rest,” Gene said. “It means never having to sell your ape. Instead why not leverage the IP to create a revenue stream? So seeing a bag of Sweet Nuts with Nicky Nickels on it being sold and distributed WORLDWIDE is real special. While this isn't the first physical product I've had my IP on (water, wine, weed, shoes, etc), it is definitely the sweetest!”
