Bored Apes attending Art Basel scored a slam dunk today after they got to see the Bored Ape Yacht Clubs X Round21 basketball in person.
BAYC member, Eric Gordon shared a photo of the beautifully etched black basketball on Twitter earlier today. “I found the basketballs, he wrote.”
As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, Back in late July, BAYC members who owned a Bore Ape Kennel Club Dog were airdropped an NFT that gave them the opportunity to purchase a basketball.
“Got a Club Dog,” The BAYC tweeted at the time. “Check your wallet. We’ve partnered with @weareround21 to send every wallet holding a BAKC doggo a special basketball NFT.”
The NFT is titled “BAYC x Round21 Basketball.” The NFT video is of a bouncing basketball that has been etched with the BAYC logo, a close up of an apes face, a group of bored apes and an image of an ape and his dog enjoying a sunset.
Preorders for the physical basketballs were done back in August and bored apes have been waiting for them ever since.
“I thought it looked great in the glass box and can’t wait to get mine,” Gordon told the Bored Ape Gazette.
Gordon and the rest of the club shouldn’t have to wait much longer, Round21 tweeted earlier today that “it’ll be sooooon” when asked when the balls will ship.
