TAKING FLIGHT: Pengees NFTs Soared On ApeChain This Weekend!

The MONKEES swung so these derpy PENGEES could fly!

After the MONKEES' impressive 1000X success on ApeChain this week, a new lighthearted trend took over the blockchain and social media as dozens of derivative projects inspired by MONKEES art hit the market.

Among these mints, the PENGEES project stood out, with its 2,001 MONKEES-inspired pudgy birds taking flight across ApeChain and social  media alike.

"LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, BOYS AND GIRLS, DO YOU HAVE PENGEES IN YOUR WALLET? NO? WELL, WHY NOT," the project posted in its bio on Magic Eden. "YOUR LIFE IS ABOUT TO CHANGE, BECAUSE WE’VE GOT PENGEES -- THAT’S RIGHT, PENGEES ON APECHAIN!"

Since minting at 2 $APE, PENGEES' floor price has soared to 88 $APE at the time of this article’s publication.

Following the mint, $APE holders started sharing photos of their wizard and McDonald’s-themed Pengees, while others searched for their perfect penguin, and everyone enjoyed the  fun vibes of collecting NFTs. Take a look at some Pengees below:

“I finally gave in and bought a cute penguin Pengees,” Former ApeCoin Special Council member and ApeChain Banana Bill Advisor Captain Trippy tweeted after buying his first ever bird.

 

 

As Pengees gained popularity, a copy-pasta trend swept through the ecosystem, with holders tweeting, “WTF did I just buy?” alongside photos of their Pengees.

Whether these Pengees continue to soar remains to be seen, but some longtime community members are feeling bullish about these $APE-native penguins.

 

 

“I am in the business of believing @yugalabs will be a big winner,” Crazy Crypto Carl Founder John Carl tweeted.  “Carls are smart. Many were playing on chain way before I got in...
