TALK TREASURY TO ME: Yuga Labs CEO Garga Tweets That "NFT Treasury Companies" Are Coming

Talk treasury to me!
After a $7.5 million CryptoPunks sweep by an anonymous whale and amidst the backdrop of a pumping NFT market that looks like it’s begging for us all to be back, Yuga Labs CEO Garga tweeted that NFT treasury companies are inevitable, and no one is ready for what’s next!
Things were anything but boring in the Web3 world on Sunday as Moonbirds pumped, CryptoPunks were swept, and 2021 vibes returned to the timeline for the first time in a long time.
As the community celebrated arguably the biggest day for the NFT space all year, Garga tweeted about NFT treasury companies, exciting the typically Bored Apes.
“The world isn't ready for NFT treasury companies but they are coming anyway,” he said along with a photo of the Samuri sword wielding photo of the Club’s mascot Curtis!
The idea that “institutions are buying” is no longer just a meme, it’s a reality for tokens like Bitcoin and Ethereum, both now priced just shy of their all time highs on the backs of big banks, hedge funds, and accredited investors ape-ing in like never before, thanks to the rise of public treasury companies.
Because of these public treasury companies, traditional investors are able to get access and exposure to coins like never before!
Earlier this month, Animoca Brands Chairman Yat Siu tweeted that he’d love to see a public treasury company for ApeCoin, so Wall Street can make its way into the swamp.
“Who would like to see an @apecoin $APE listed public treasury company,” Yat Siu tweeted on July 11th. “@animocabrands has been involved in a number of them most recently @ddcbtc_and @DigitalXLtd all of them have done well for $BTC like, comment, tag and RT and lets see if we can make it happen!”
That same day, Garga also tweeted that he’d love to see an ApeCoin treasury company that holds Bored Apes too.
“Personally, would love to see an $APE treasury company,” he tweeted. “Bonus points if it also buys and holds Bored Ape NFTs Should we make it happen?”
Tonight, nothing about an $APE public treasury company is confirmed and it’s only in the idea stage as far as this paper knows. But one thing is clear, BAYC members want to see it happen!
