The Ape Assembly Is Currently Voting On How There Group Wants Its Governance Structure To Be

The ApeCoin DAO’s Ape Assembly held its second meeting earlier this week and the subgroup of highly involved DAO members is currently voting on their preferred meeting times and on the structure of the group’s leadership going forward!

Things have been anything but boring around the ApeCoin DAO as the Ape Assembly, a governing body of highly active governance participants within the ApeCoin Ecosystem that was established as part of AIP 239 and controls a monthly budget of $10,000 USD, met for the second time.

During the meeting roughly 50 $Apes who either have a Discourse Trust Level 2+ , or own 50,000+ $Ape, or $Apes who have voted in at least 50% of proposal votes, came together in the DAO’s Discourse channel to discuss the future of this sub-group.

“Think of this as a small version of the broader ApeCoin DAO where you can be bold,” recently elected Governance Working Group Steward AllCityBAYC said during the meeting.

After a lot of discission, the meeting ended with Ape Assembly members being asked to vote on two questions:

1 Should the Assembly meet next Wednesday, July 12, at 1 P.M. EST? Yes or No?

2. What do you want the Ape Assembly structure to look like? A. Committees, B. One elected Representative, C. Three elected Representatives, or D. Task the Governance Working Group to manage the Ape Assembly budget and multisig+ facilitate Working Group Elections.

ApeCoin DAO Contributors who meet the Ape Assembly Criteria and have registered their Discords have until tomorrow, July 8th at 11 P.M. EST, to vote.
