The Ape Assembly Is Holding Its First Meeting Tomorrow Morning. Here's What You Need To Know

The ApeCoin DAO's newly formed Ape Assembly will hold its first meeting tomorrow morning, and participation is open to everyone with a Discourse Trust Level 2 or higher, those who own 50,000 $Ape or more, or those who have voted in at least 50% of proposal votes.

On Thursday the Ape Assembly, a governing body of highly active governance participants within the ApeCoin Ecosystem that was established as part of AIP 239 and controls a monthly budget of $10,000 USD, will host its inaugural meeting starting at 11 A.M. EST.

During this first meeting, the goals are to:

1. Begin discussions on appointing a seasonal or temporary Chairperson, Vice Chairperson, and Treasurer

2. Determine the cadence and timing of future meetings

3. Initiate discussion on a Metaverse Working Group Steward election, per AIP-245.

The Assembly will also discuss the next steps for a Legal Committee, term limits for the recently established DAO Secretary, and the role that Thank Ape will play in the Ape Assembly.

While tomorrow's meeting will only be accessible to $Ape holders who have achieved Trust Level Status 2 (Member) or higher on the ApeCoin DAO Forum, or who have voted on at least 50% of the AIPs that have gone to Snapshot, or who hold 50,000 APE or more in voting power and have voted on at least one AIP, the Bored Ape Gazette will attend the meeting and bring you live coverage from the assembly.

If you meet the criteria to be a part of the Ape Assembly, then head on over to the ApeCoin DAO’s Discourse page and follow the steps to join the Assembly here: https://forum.apecoin.com/t/announcing-the-ape-assembly/13410
