The BAYC Revealed That The HV-MTL Forge Rift Will Open On September 7th. Here's What We Know So Far:

Last night was anything but boring around the swamp as the Bored Ape Yacht club told the community what they and their HVs can do to prepare for the ‘Rift’ in the HV-MTL Forge game opening on September 7th.

“Listen up HVs, the graphic below contains what you need to know ahead of being able to enter the Rift on September 7th,” the BAYC tweeted, “An updated version of the game guide with more details on how to play in the Rift will be shared ahead of launch.”

In the BAYC’s Rift infographic, the club explained that HV-MTL Holders and their mechs should continue to ‘build up energy’ and ‘build out tiles’ until they see the Rift portal in their Forge. This exrtra energy will give players access into the Rift and additional lHV-MTL upgrades.

HV-MTL Holders and their Mechs will want to make their way through the Rift so they can compete in the ‘raid boss battle’ and earn $Ape rewards!

As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, HV-MTL Holders and their Mechs are currently in season three of the HV-MTL Forge dubbed ‘The Swampening.’ and they are working to build out their HV Homes with all new swamp stuff!

Season 3 is the last season of the HV-MTL Forge before the ‘Rift expansion.’

“After 3 seasons, a strange new portal opens...but only to some,” the BAYC previously wrote in its Forge gaming guide. “Your generated energy will determine whether you can enter and how far you go.”

While we do not know a lot about what awaits HV-MTL Holders beyond the Forge, we do know that the meta of the game will change from a ‘pet game and casual world builder’ to a ‘competitive dungeon crawler’ that features some combat eventually.

“The rift isn’t just a cool dungeon crawler, it’s an augmentation to the leaderboard system,” Yuga Labs’ Chief Gaming Officer Spencer Tucker tweeted on June 30th. “Enjoy the current social meta while you can, when the rift opens, LB points aren’t just social voting.”
