The BAYC's Creative Director, Jeff Nicholas, Gave Apes More Information About BAYC LLC During Monday's Bored Meeting!

Bored Ape Yacht Club members received more information on what BAYC LLC means during the club’s second-ever Bored Meeting earlier this week.

Last month, Yuga Labs Co-Founder Garga announced that the Bored Ape Yacht Club was now a subsidiary of Yuga Labs, dubbed BAYC LLC, in a larger state-of-the-company post that also announced his return as CEO of Yuga Labs.

“We want to unshackle the BAYC team at Yuga as much as possible to execute against its vision,” Garga wrote at the time. “More focus, more agility. So it can do the above, and create the space for the magic and crazy shit we used to get up to more often. Focus and agility requires autonomy. Step 1 is already done. A new company, “BAYC LLC”, was created as a Yuga subsidiary and will be responsible for everything BAYC. We’ve got a crack team of ninjas on the BAYC team, but there’s still a couple important roles to be filled over there.”

A month after Garga’s announcement, BAYC LLC was a subject of conversation during the club’s second Bored Meeting earlier this week. During that meeting, the Club’s Creative Director, Jeff Nicholas, explained that BAYC LLC was formed to simply ensure that Apes always had their own team exclusively focused on them, following years of growth for Yuga Labs as a company.

Nicholas went on to say that the BAYC LLC teams’ goals for 2024 revolve around finding more ways to connect Apes with one another.

“When you really look at what BAYC is about this year it’s those things. The Clubhouse, ApeFest, Global Community Events, Made By Apes, and Collabs. It’s that simple. And its like we’re building ways to vibe together. We’re building ways to support each other, and building ways to really kind of fuse the bonds of this club.”

As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, the idea of finding more ways to bring Apes together in 2024 is part of Yuga Labs’ 'At the Clubhouse' narrative, where the metaphorical BAYC clubhouse appears whenever and wherever Apes gather.

“Everything we do as BAYC is being refocused on an overarching narrative we’re calling “AT THE CLUBHOUSE,” Nicholas tweeted on January 17th. “Where, more than a place, the Clubhouse takes its seat as the heartbeat of the club, just as BAYC is the heartbeat of @yugalabs. The Clubhouse is where we meet, vibe, collect, play, get weird, build and grow. The idea that the “Clubhouse” is wherever Apes gather around the world, online or IRL. (But also yes, at our IRL Clubhouse)”

The Bored Ape Gazette will continue to follow BAYC LLC and all the ways the team builds to connect Apes  in 2024. Stay tuned for updates!
