The bird is the word, literally!

It was a Moonbirds Monday in the Web3 world after the collection was added to the SocialFi platform Kaito, which means birbs can now earn Yaps and fly up their leaderboard for chirping and tweeting on the timeline!

“The  @moonbirds leaderboard is now live,” KaitoAI tweeted. “And for the first time, we're now integrating onchain holdings as boosts to better represent the holder community. A first step in integrating onchain metrics on Kaito - with integrations also coming to the our own leaderboard too. So, if you're a Moonbird holder, you can now connect your wallet on Kaito to receive a boost in your contribution rankings - as well as a badge next to your name.”

Following the news, Moonbirds CEO and Head Birb Spencer took to the timeline to encourage everyone to birbpost early, often, and with a Moonbird in their wallet!

“Proof of ownership is a new @KaitoAIfeature developed specially for the @moonbirds leaderboard launch,” he said. “Verified holders get boosted positioning on the leaderboard. If you are birbposting, get a birb!”

Since the Moonbirds took flight on Kaito, posts about the project have been soaring across the timeline. Check out the top ten chripers below:

While nothing is confirmed yet about what the Moonbirds leaderboard could lead to or be used for in the future, many are already speculating about a possible token down the line.

While only time will tell on that, one thing is clear, the flock and beyond are birbish about the idea of proof of ownership being introduced to the growing SocialFi ecosystem.

"Got a boost on the  @moonbirdsleaderboard for holding the nft,” BAYC Member and Birb Josh Ong posted. “The future of infofi rewards combines onchain and social activity. Birbish.”

The Bored Ape Gazette will continue to follow the Moonbirds and will let you know what they do next. Stay tuned for updates!
