The first ever digital athlete signed to Major League Soccer, Striker6045, shared a video on Twitter today that featured several notable Bored Apes.

“Last night’s match was amazing, Striker tweeted along with a 20-second video. “I got to host my frens at #MLSAllStar and we had a blast! A special thanks to all my amazing guests! @MLS.”

The video began with a soccer ball being set up for a corner kick and then the camera panned up to a suite featuring several notable Bored Ape Yacht Club members' primates.

As the bored Ape Gazette previously reported, the MLS announced that the league signed the first ever digital athlete last week.

“We’re excited to announce that the League has signed Striker, a Bored Ape, to a professional contract, making him the first digital athlete to sign with a professional sports organization,” the MLS posted on Instagram along with a photo of Striker. “Follow @Striker6045 and look out for more during our upcoming MLS All-Star week.”

After the announcement last week, the MLS shared a press release online that featured a quote from Striker6045 about being signed to the soccer league.

“I’m extremely excited to join Major League Soccer, the fastest growing sports league in North America,” Striker said in an MLS press release. “In a League with players from more than 82 countries, it is an honor to be the first digital athlete. I can’t wait to get on the virtual pitch.”

The league’s digital athlete is Bored Ape #6045. Bored Ape #6045 is a five-trait golden brown fur primate with a striped shirt and jovial mouth.

Bored Ape #6045 is currently held by wallet get3ngaged who got the golden-brown primate transferred to them five months from Moonpay. Moonpay purchased Bored Ape #6045 on March 13th for 100 Eth or $251,000 USD

The Bored Ape Gazette will continue to follow the MLS and Striker. Stay tuned for more information!
