The Mutant Hounds Project Will Tell "A Few Stories" Before The Dogs Are Revealed
Updated: Dec 23, 2022
After a fast and engaging Mutant Hounds mint, the project is gearing up for some insane storytelling and lore.
After nearly a year of work and months of hype, the Mutant Cartel dropped its Mutant Hound expanded Yugaverse project that sold out before it got to the public mint!
“I am so happy to see how the community has received the Hounds,” Mutant Cartel Founder and Mutant Hounds creator Lior.Eth told the Bored Ape Gazette. “We’ve been building in this space ever since the MAYC minted, and we’ve worked on the Hounds art for more than a year. This has been a long time coming. Now that we’re finally on the ground and running, it’s all about to ramp up from here. Super excited to uncover the Hounds saga with the rest of the community. Hint: it’s gonna get wild!”
Things are already getting “wild” in the Mutant Hounds community. Earlier this week, the project revealed the collar types and the holders found out if they minted one of the 25 Mega Collars. At the time of this article’s publication, the floor price for a Mega Collar is 72 Eth or $88,000 USD, according to Opensea data.
This collar reveal is just the first of many wild things that the Mutant Hounds project and Lior have planned before they officially release the Hounds. “There’s a few stories that need to be told before the Hounds come out,” he said.
Storytelling and lore is an important aspect of the Mutant Cartel and Mutant Hounds project. As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, Lior and his team’s goal is to make the “Middle earth” of Web3.
“The Mutant Hounds are part of a saga of lore-driven NFTs that push the frontier of decentralized and participatory storytelling,” the project explained in a Twitter thread on December 6th. “Hounds will be part of an ever-expanding universe and will be relevant to your favorite worlds - Otherside being an important focus. Characters, factions, events, and the ability to both feature and guide the course of the narrative itself. We want to create the Middle Earth of web3 with you, and without borders.”
The Bored Ape Gazette will continue to follow Lior, the Mutant Hounds, and the Mutant Cartel and will let you know when the Hounds are revealed. Stay tuned for updates.
