NFT Paris attendees who picked up an ApeChain Proof of Attendance Protocol (POAP) keepsake last month woke up to a Saturday morning surprise, courtesy of the ApeCoin DAO and Dim.Eth!

The weekend was off to an $Ape-ish start for the 1,755 NFT Paris 2025 POAP holders, each receiving an airdrop of 18.5 $Ape!

This airdrop was made possible by the ApeCoin DAO’s support of Dim.Eth’s Ape Improvement Proposal (AIP-496), which allocated $169,420 USD worth of $Ape to fund the event, distribute merch, host an ApeCoin treasure hunt at NFT Paris, and more. The airdrop used up the remaining funds after the event.

“Well it was hard to keep it for myself,” Dim joked. “But it feels right to reward the people who took the time to come to see the exhibition and collected the POAPs.”

 

After the airdrop, the Gazette asked Dim what he thinks recipients should spend their coins on. He simply replied, “NFTs on ApeChain, of course ahah.”
