The Special Council Selected Three Stewards To Be Apart Of Working Group Zero. The Full Story Here:
The ApeCoin Special Council selected three DAO contributors to be “Stewards” in the newly formed Working Group Zero earlier this week.
After the ApeCoin DAO passed Ape Improvement Proposal 196 titled “Bringing Order and Reliability via Ecosystem Decentralization,” earlier this month, the DAO has been working hard to get Working Group Zero started.
Working Group Zero’s goal is to bring engaged DAO contributors and stakeholders together to figure out a path forward for the DAO once the Cartan Group’s administrative contract with the DAO expires on February 28th.
Over the next two months, Working Group Zero members will work to create and recommend possible post-Cartan Group transition plans to the Special Council. The Group will also oversee a Request for Proposal process to identify future APE Foundation administrators.
As laid out in AIP-196, the ApeCoin DAO Special Council got to choose three of the seven Working Group Zero “Stewards.” The Special Council appointed BAYC members Amplify, Waabam, and Adventurous Ape to be the first three Working Group Zero Stewards.
These Stewards will be responsible for “1. Administrative oversight 2. Budgeting based on the needs of WG0 as approved by the Special Council 3. Reporting on all WG0 activities between the Special Council, the Administrators, and the Community,” according to a Discourse post written by AIP-196 Author Badteeth.
The Bored Ape Gazette interviewed Amplify, Adventurous Ape, and, Waabam earlier this week to find out more about them and what they hope to accomplish over the next couple of months. Take a look at the three interviews below:
Amplify

1: How does it feel to be selected as a Steward?
“It's a very confident nervousness if that makes sense. I'm nervous because there are so many members of our DAO that will be affected by our actions, but I am confident in our ability to structure the DAO in a more decentralized way.”
2: what do you hope to accomplish?
The RFP process is just one piece of the pie, we need to peel a few functions away from the original scope laid out. The ideal scenario is enabling Meta-Governance, Operations & Communications working groups to take on the functions of our previous Administrator.
3: where do you see the DAO in three months?
“I see a lot more AIP's coming in and being processed in an orderly and timely manner. I see more community members engaging and feeling welcome to engage and having a place to grow both socially but also professionally inside the DAO.”
Adventurous Ape

1:How does it feel to be selected?
"It feels amazing to be selected as a Steward. I have the utmost respect for the other applicants and know that any one of them would be an excellent Steward and hope to see some of them elected.”
What do you hope to accomplish?
“We plan to implement a Request for Proposals (RFP) process to identify future APE Foundation administrators and complete the handover to future DAO administrators, if necessary, further decentralize the DAO by identifying the tasks that are currently done by Cartan (the administrator) that can be done by the community, and putting forth guidelines for working group structures that can take over those tasks and more.”
where do you see the DAO in three months?
“In three months, I believe the DAO will have a vision statement that we can all unite behind, working groups that will onboard new contributors, as well as a more streamlined AIP process that will attract more builders to the ecosystem.”
Wabaam
