This AIP Aims To Make A Series Of Bored Ape Themed Games And Onboard Millions To The Yuga Ecosystem

There is a new Ape Improvement Proposal on the ballot this week that aims to make a series of Bored Ape themed games and onboard new people into the Yuga ecosystem.

AIP 78- titled “Ape Worlds - Create Ape-themed games on the blockchain, no code required” was written by ApeCoin DAO member Fridayyy and is on the ballot this week at the ApeCoin DAO.

“Ape Worlds is a no-code game experience using the Vy Worlds engine,” Fridayyy wrote in the AIP. “In Ape Worlds, any BAYC fan can take Ape-themed game-building blocks and create their own games. This would allow millions of fans to create and play games together in the BAYC universe and use ApeCoin as the currency of choice for Ape Worlds.”

In the proposal, Fridayyy also included a link to the alpha version of the Vy Worlds game so Apecoin members can get a sense of the game.

Vy worlds is backed by San Francisco based gaming startup, Knock Knock Games.

“Knock Knock Games is on a mission to make it possible for anyone to make their own game on the blockchain as NFT,” according to the company’s website. “We believe that User Generated Content (UGC) is already an important part of the gaming market (think ROBLOX, Minecraft, Fortnite’s Creator Mode) and is poised to become an essential part of the crypto gaming ecosystem in the future.”

To make the Ape Worlds game, Fridayyy asked the ApeCoin DAO for 1 million $Ape coin. This 1 million $Ape will be dispersed in 25% increments to the Vy Worlds team as they complete various stages of their roadmap, according to the proposal.

“The current iteration of this proposal has the entire Knock Knock Games team, plus additional artist, animators, designers, and engineers (via hiring or outsourcing) directly working on this project for 6 months to get to worldwide launch, then supporting the Ape Worlds ecosystem over the long-term,” Fridayyy wrote. “We are requesting 1 million $APE tokens to fund the development and marketing of the product. This is a big ask but creating a game with a team of 10+ professionals is expensive. Long-term, we will sustain the Ape Worlds ecosystem by taking a 5% fee on Ape Worlds NFT bought and sold and with additional NFT sales if there is interest from the community.”
