This Anonymous Crypto Whale Just Purchased A Rare Bored Ape For 1.2 Million USD. Here's What We Know

A trippy deal went down at the Bored Ape Yacht Club this morning as BAYC member Zoopa AKA Cents2Sats sold one of the rarest bored apes in the collection for over $1 million dollars to an anonymous buyer.


BAYC member Zoopa sold Bored Ape #2488 to Opensea user 0x4927 via NFT Trader this morning for 999.69 Eth or $1,236,000 USD.





Bored Ape #2488 is a five-trait trippy fur primate with blue beam eyes and a Hawaiian shirt. Based on these traits, Bored Ape #2488 is the 47th most rare primate, according to Rarity Tools.


Following the purchase, BAYC members took to Twitter to congratulate on Zoopa on his trippy sale.


“@Cents2Sats congrats dude,” BAYC member DillyDilly tweeted. “Well deserved sale.”


The new owner of Bored Ape #2488 is User 0x4927. While we do not know much about this user, we do know that they’re a crypto whale and that their BAYC shopping spree may just be getting started, according to Etherscan data.


Currently, User 0x4927’s wallet holds 569.42 Eth worth $606,000 USD.





User 0x4927’s wallet is also connected to wallet 0x01baeA860C7661561c31B1F765CfE8e064fF6De6, based on Etherscan transfers. This is the same wallet that the anonymous user sent money from prior to purchasing Bored Ape #2488.





Wallet 0x01baeA860C7661561c31B1F765CfE8e064fF6De6 holds 45 Eth and over $3 million USD worth of stable coins.
