This Bored Ape Yacht Club member’s apes are about to have their big break!
BAYC member Jimmy McNeil, better known around the club as J1mmy.Eth has teamed up with Universal Music group to create the first NFT music group, according to UMG’s Twitter account.
“NEWSFLASH: UMG’s next-gen label 10:22PM forms 𝐊𝐈𝐍𝐆𝐒𝐇𝐈𝐏, the First-Ever Group Consisting of NFT Characters from Bored Ape Yacht Club,” the company tweeted earlier today.
The group will consist of three bored apes and one mutant ape. All of the groups members are owned by J1mmy.
The first bored ape in the group is Bored Ape #8824. Bored Ape #8824 is a six trait gold fur ape wearing an astronaut suit and a sea captains hat. The second ape in the band is Bored Ape #7796. Bored Ape #7796 is a five trait white fur ape with blue beam eyes. The third and final bored ape in the group is Bored Ape #1652. Bored Ape #1652 is a seven trait golden brown fur ape with a caveman’s pelt and a king’s crown.
Along with the three bored apes, KINGSHIP will also feature Mutant Ape #9314. Mutant Ape #9314 is a five trait M2 ape with golden brown fur, sunglasses and a pimp coat.
“10:22PM, one of Universal’s labels, has hired a team of crypto artists and animators to turn the two-dimensional apes into three-dimensional beings, Bloomberg news reported earlier today in its article “The World’s Largest Record Company Is Creating an NFT Super Group.”
“The company will record music for Kingship that it releases on streaming services. The “band” will perform and participate in video games, virtual-reality applications and across the constellation of digital experiences known as the metaverse.”
