This Bored Ape Yacht Club Member Sold His Porsche To Buy A Bored Ape Earlier This Summer

This Bored Ape Yacht club member is walking everywhere after he sold his 2018 Porsche Panamera Turbo S and used the money to ape into the Bored Ape Yacht Club earlier this summer.

Since the beginning of 2022, AsifR.eth wanted to join the BAYC, but he couldn’t justify or afford to spend $400,000 USD on an NFT.

“I wanted an Ape early part of the year, but they had gone up to 400k,” he told the Gazette. “Certainly, couldn’t afford or justify that. When I saw the ETH price come down and FP I just knew it was now it never.”

Asif seized the moment and sold his car in June for $85,000 USD in order ape into the swamp.

“So, I sold the car and took a gamble. Everyone around me thought I was mad because the Porsche was stunning,” Asif said. “However, a month later when I’ve more than doubled I am now getting the plaudits.”

Asif used the funds from the sale and purchased Bored Ape #8715 for 85.98 Eth or 85,499 USD.

Bored Ape #8715 is a six-trait black fur ape with a leather jacket and a safari hat. Based on these traits, Bored Ape #8715 is the 7237th most rare ape, according to Rarity Tools.

Since joining the BAYC earlier this summer, Asif’s told the Gazette that his bored ape has nearly doubled in value based on the current BAYC floor price and value of ETH.

Asif went on to tell the Bored Ape Gazette that he believes that there is still a lot of upside potential left in the BAYC.

“I think the BAYC community is unreal and the whole project will go from strength to strength," he said. "Met with U.K. apes last week and such a warm welcoming bunch.”
