Less than 24 hours after the Bored Ape Yacht Club dropped its highly anticipated treasure hunt’s first clue, we have a winner!
“So just solved the @BoredApeYC puzzle with @bbuerhaus @_LeFevre_ and @cybourgeoisie,” BAYC member Justin Tobin tweeted earlier this afternoon. “Write up soon!”
Any ape that tried to solve this treasure hunt knows what an accomplishment this is. Yours truly took a quick look and knew I was out of my league!
After the victory, Tobin took to medium.com and penned a detailed report on how he and his team solved each of the puzzles.
Based on his article, some of the puzzles were trolls and others were quite complex and required a good amount of general knowledge and Google skills.

After Tobin and his team completed their answer and submitted it, a screen appeared that informed them that they had won the grand prize.
“YOU WON THE GRAND PRIZE! You will be delivered 10 ETH, Bored Ape #10, BAKC Club Dog #10, an M2 Serum, and a special surprise. Keep an eye on your wallet over the next 24 hours for your reward,” the BAYC said.
Bored Ape #10 is a six trait DMT fur ape with a red BAYC hat, an eye patch and a navy striped tee.
While Tobin and his team may have won the grand prize, there is still a bonus puzzle for apes to win 1 of 4 Decentraland wearables. The bonus puzzle can be found in the Crate Room.
