“I am writing to formally announce my resignation from my position as Governance WG Steward effective Jan 31, 2024,” she wrote. “This decision has not been taken lightly, but after considerable reflection, I have decided to step down. My role as a Governance Steward has been a valuable experience and it was and honor to serve the DAO. The dedication, energy and creative spirit of this community have been truly inspiring, and I am grateful for the opportunity to have worked alongside you all. Congratulations to all the newly elected Special Council members and Stewards, best wishes to a successful 2024 for the ApeCoin DAO. While I am stepping down from my official role, I will remain active as a DAO member. I will continue to support the Working Groups and community in any capacity that I can and will stay involved in DAO initiatives. I am sincerely thankful for your understanding and support during this transition, and I look forward to seeing the continued growth and success of our community.”
As TigerIsFine steps away from her position at the DAO, Governance Working Group Steward, AllCityBAYC, told the paper that he and the rest of the $Ape government are sad to see her leave, and that they will be using this time to explore new ways to reduce the overhead cost of the DAO’s working group structure.
“As sad as we are to see Tiger go, we’re taking the opportunity to run an experiment to save community funds by reducing working group overhead,” he said. “To achieve this, starting March 1st all of our increased workload will be either absorbed by the remaining six GWG team members -or- delegated to service providers where we sit fit. I’ve also outlined elements related to our group’s treasury management in a new AIP I posted earlier today looking to establish stricter guidelines to consider whenever a new working group is proposed.”
The Bored Ape Gazette wishes TigerIsFine well and will let you know what she does next! Stay tuned for updates!
