Updated: Jul 25, 2023
As Bored Ape Yacht Club members prepare to claim their ApeFest 2023 tickets tomorrow night, Tokenproof took to Twitter and told members who's Apes are staked that they will be able to claim their tickets as normal.
On Tuesday, Tokenproof announced that BAYC members who’s Apes are locked in ParaSpace or BendDAO with an active loan on the NFT will be able to claim their tickets like everyone else. Further, BAYC and MAYC members who are staking their primate through Paraspace will also be able to claim their tickets as normal.
Hours later, TokenProof took to Twitter again and informed the community that BendDAO users will also be able to claim their tickets like everyone else!
"Good news, @BendDAO users," TokenProof tweeted. "We now also support ApeFest ticket claiming for tokens that are staked, in addition to those on active loan.If you are staking your BAYC or MAYC token or have it collateralized through @BendDAO, you will now be able to claim ApeFest tickets with no further action needed. Shout out to the @BendDAO team for working with us quickly to make this a better experience for ApeFest attendees!"
As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, the BAYC announced that the window for members to claim their ApeFest 2023 tickets will open tomorrow night at 8 P.M. EST.
“Apes, it’s almost that time,” the club tweeted. “Ticket claim for ApeFest Hong Kong goes live this Wednesday, July 26th 8PM ET / Thursday, July 27th 8AM HKT. The ticket claim link will be posted on this account and shared on the updated http://apefest.com website. Apes planning on claiming a ticket for Apefest should have their @tokenproof app set up ahead of ticket claim going live.”
These tickets will be distributed on a first come first serve basis, according to the club. In an effort to make sure only members who can attend the event are claiming tickets, the BAYC will be charging members a $169 deposit that will be returned to them once they scan in at ApeFest 2023 or give up their ticket to someone on the waitlist.
“Our goal is to have a packed house of apes,” the BAYC wrote. “So the deposit serves as an incentive for apes that can no longer attend, to remember to release their tickets to the next in line on the waiting list. If you do attend, the $169 ticket will be refunded shortly after you attend the event and get scanned in.”
Along with this refundable deposit, the BAYC also announced that that plus one tickets will cost $269 USD and that there will be ways for BAYC members to virtually participate in the boring festivities!
“There's plenty in store for apes who can’t make it to Hong Kong,” the club wrote. “There’ll be ways to participate virtually, and we’re also working with the BAYC community to host IRL events globally. Stay tuned!”
The Bored Ape Gazette is working to bring you continued coverage of ApeFest 2023 and will bring you more information about tomorrow night’s ticket claim. Stay tuned for updates!
