TRADED: Bored Ape Yacht Club Member Rudy Gobert Was Traded To The Timberwolves Yesterday, Per ESPN

Bored Ape Yacht Club member and NBA star Rudy Gobert was traded from the Utah Jazz to the Minnesota Timberwolves yesterday afternoon, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.


Gobert, who was drafted by the Jazz in 2013 and has been named the Defensive Player Of The Year three times in his career, will be taking his talents to the North Star State next season joining notable NBA stars Karl-Anthony Towns, Anthony Edwards and D’Angelo Russell.


Following the trade, Gobert took to social media and thanked Jazz fans for their support.


“Utah!! I was just a kid from France when I got here 9 years ago but I felt embraced and supported since day one, the 7’ 1” center wrote. “I’ve grown as a man and as a player before your eyes and I’m thankful for every single moment. Utah and its community will always have a special place in my heart. Thank you! The Journey continues.”


As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, Gobert joined the BAYC on November 14th, 2021, after he purchased Bored Ape #6909 for 34.8 Eth or 159,000 USD.





Bored Ape #6909 is a six-trait brown fur ape with a spinner hat, Hawaiian shirt and a bored mouth. Based on these traits, Bored Ape #6909 is the 9026th most rare primate, according to Rarity Tools.


Since joining the club in November, Gobert has Mutated Bored Ape #6909 to make Mutant Ape #23819 and the NBA star also purchased Mutant Ape #6014.





Along with adding two Mutant Apes to his portfolio, Gobert also owns eight Otherdeeds and two Kodas, according to Opensea data.
