TRAINING DAY: NightGlyders Reveal Trainers As Founder Pilot Tells Holders To Be “Intentional” With Pairings

From the old forest to the timeline, 1,666 humanoid NightGlyder companions emerged onchain, and as the community showed love to the new pixelated art, the project’s founder urged holders to be intentional when pairing a Glyder with a Trainer.

On Wednesday, just a day after the NightGlyders’ secondary collection Trainers minted out in minutes, the project’s art was revealed and quickly took over X as holders shared photos of their new pixelated people.

As the Gazette previously reported, Trainers are humanoid companions to NightGlyders and will play a role similar to trainers in the Pokémon series within the project’s universe.

With 350 traits and 18 1/1s in such a small collection, each Trainer feels unique, and the project’s lead artist Darling said he was thrilled to see the community enjoying the new NFTs.

Following the reveal, Pilot told the Gazette that Trainers will receive Otherside ready avatars soon and teased a new staking system involving both NightGlyders and Trainers.

While he did not share many details, Pilot emphasized that every trait was intentional and encouraged holders to carefully pair their characters.

“Take your time. Study the traits. Search for value in both collections. Match your Glyder with your Trainer intentionally,” he said. “Elements will play a massive role going forward. You've already seen hints in the Pre Reveal image. We're betting on Otherside Resources. Trainer traits might have a play in this. Pay attention to what you hold. The details are never random.”
