Six months after Pudgy Penguins opened redemption for its Mystery Box NFTs, tonight is holders’ last chance to choose how they want to uncover what’s inside, either by having their box shipped to their door or ripped and vaulted by collectibles platform DYLI!

“Shipping redemption for the @pudgypenguins Mystery Box closes at midnight tonight,” Dyli tweeted. “This is your LAST CALL to ship to you (midnight tonight) or to submit for Live Rips (closing 2 August, 1pm ET). After this, you can no longer rip or ship. You don't want to miss this."

As the Gazette previously reported, Pudgy Penguins sold 7,245 of these Mystery Box NFTs for $99 USD during its Black Friday drop last year.

Then, in March, Pudgy Penguins opened the redemption window, giving holders the chance to turn their digital Mystery Boxes into physical ones filled with mystery prizes that could include anything and everything from across the Pudgy Penguins ecosystem.

At the same time, holders were faced with another choice: keep their Mystery Box and redeem it for a physical prize, or burn it in exchange for a soulbound token. In the end, 1,989 holders chose the onchain option and set their box ablaze!

 

For anyone who missed out the first time around, the mystery isn't over just yet. As of tonight, collectors can still purchase one of these Pudgy Penguins Mystery Boxes on DYLI’s secondary market and rip it open for $60 USD.
