WELCOME A-BORED: Pudgy Penguins Community Lead PP McGhee Joins The Bored Ape Yacht Club!

Two PPs are better than one! The Bored Ape Yacht Club gained an igloo legend this evening after Pudgy Penguins community lead PP McGhee aped in!

On Tuesday, PP McGhee went to market, purchasing a second Pudgy Penguin and his first ever primate, Bored Ape #7055, a six trait, red fur ape with bloodshot eyes and a cigarette, for 9.98 ETH, or $23,000 USD.

 

 

“New ape. New penguin,” PP McGhee tweeted. “For almost 5 years I've been a part of the huddle and I've met some of the closest friends I've ever had. Being a penguin has legit changed my life. I've also met a ton of apes who I call family. This was long overdue, I've had my eye on this ape for a while since it matches my penguin. See you in the club apes.”

 

 

After PP’s pickup, Apes took to the timeline to welcome him to the club, saying they couldn’t be more excited to have another PP around the swamp.

 

“Most clubs don’t even have one  @_PPMan_, but we got two,” Yuga Labs’ BaronVonHustle tweeted. “Welcome  @ppmcghee to the  @BoredApeYC.”

 

 

PP McGhee is the second Pudgy Penguins team member to join the BAYC in the last week. As the Gazette previously reported, Pudgy Penguins owner Luca Netz rejoined the BAYC over the weekend, purchasing a Mutant Ape as part of a crosschain shopping spree.

 

“New mutant,” Netz said.  “Funny story, but I minted mutants at a conference table in the middle of negotiating the sale of Gel Blasters to Hasbro. On that day the entire Hasbro leadership team learned about NFTs. Good times.”

 

 

With PP McGhee and Netz now both in the BAYC, it’s looking more and more like Apes and Penguins are focused on building together, rather than fighting over what’s left from bull markets past.
